Change For Justice Fact Center

Increasing caseloads and decreasing budgets have put a strain on the family courts in the face of already strongly recommended reforms. Change for Justice is concerned that the confluence of events is resulting in family courts that are less responsive to the needs of the people who use them and inherently delay and often deny justice to its participants. The impact is felt most acutely by those least able to afford legal counsel and outside experts. Change for Justice is advocating for far-reaching positive change to make the courts more efficient and effective by helping to streamline the forms and proceedings while incorporating modern technology to help ensure due process for all participants regardless of their socioeconomic background.
